I started my financial career in 1980 and now specialize in residential mortgages catering to a broad spectrum of buyers. My expertise in matching borrower with appropriate product and directing the borrower loan to appropriate lender partner is paramount to my 98% successful loan/escrow closing.
Accessibility: My focus is on YOU and your unique needs. Each transaction is different so I make it my mission to make each of my borrowers feel that they are my only clients. I do this through making myself accessible 24/7, providing personal meetings, telephone, email, video conferencing (Facetime) and text.
Financial Acumen: I have managed client financial assets for 20 years on Wall Street. For the last 17 years I have been a mortgage originator providing lending needs to all strata of borrowers. This diverse background gives me the ability to analyze more complex buyer/borrower financial situations quickly and accurately.
Trust: I have taken a credo from my previous financial career to “know my customer”. Each buyer is a unique borrower, with a complementary unique financial profile impacted by short and long term goals. Purchasing a home represents a significant financial transaction, be they new homebuyers, move-up buyers, or down-sizing seniors. I focus on establishing rapport that only comes from asking “gentle probing questions” to the borrowers so to understand their income strengths and or weaknesses.
Problem Solving: With comprehensive fact finding of the buyer/borrower’s income, employment and assets, some stumbling blocks may, from time to time, be unearthed. Early detection allows me to work with the buyer/borrower to use my experience to eliminate any impediment to obtaining a loan approval.
Clarity of Process: Buyer/borrowers are given a road map that explains the transaction process, plainly reviewing costs and loan requirements. This clarity not only manages expectations but provides a sense of comfort during those times when “time needs to just pass” to allow things to happen. The more comfortable the borrower the more smoothly goes the transaction.
After graduating from Sacramento State with a BA in Economics, I joined Merrill Lynch as an account executive and quickly rose to account manager. I subsequently joined Smith Barney and managed high net worth individual assets and became a recognized vice president. This 19 year tenure was instrumental in learning effective “know your customer” people skills. I was able to hone my analytical focus and perfected problem solving techniques required in managing intangible assets.
After a brief retirement and relocation back to the Sacramento area, I wanted to start a second career that would allow me to use my people, problem solving and financial skills. I earned my California Department of Real Estate License in 2006 and NMLS federal licensing in 2011. I have focused on residential mortgage lending through developing a referral network of Realtors® and client referrals. When asked why mortgage lending, I will be the first to tell you I have spent my lifetime developing money skills, evaluating opportunities and molding them to fit client needs. I love looking beyond the numbers to create success stories for all my borrowers.
